FAQ

Perfect 10 Pools Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between solar heat, gas heat and electric heat?

Electric heat takes many days to heat the pool. Gas heat is what we recommend for pools in the midwest.

    • Pool cover
    • Walk in steps
    • Hand rail
    • Ladder
    • 500 watt underwater light

    • Chemical testing kit
    • 1/2 Horsepower Hayword pump heater
    • Hayword sand filter
    • Hayword 200 BTU electronic ignition heater
    • 3 year warranty on pump, heater, filter and  salt system*

    *Salt system sold separately

  • Is it better to use chemicals or a salt water system for my Pool?

We install both systems but recommend using a salt water system. A salt water system costs approximately $25 per month (or less depending upon use) whereas a chemical system can average over $120 per month. A salt system will pay for itself in 2 years, greatly redusces the cost of chemicals and is gentle on the eyes, skin and poll equipment.

  • Is it best to install a fiberglass, concrete or vinyl liner pool?

We ONLY install vinyl liner inground pools in southeast Michigan and northeast Ohio.

The area we serve is subject to a high water table and multiple bouts of freezing and thawing. This environment can cause a fiberglass pool to disengage or “pop out” of the ground. Concrete pools are subject to cracking and leaks. Whereas a heavy gauge vinyl liner typically lasts 15 to 20 years and the  replacement is less costly.

  • Do you provide service after the installation?

Openings and closings for Perfect 10 built pools only.

  • How does payment work?

A 25% deposit will secure your position for your new Perfect 10 pool.

60%  of the contracted amount is due on the day of excavation.

The remaining 15% is due upon completion.
